Steps to becoming a neuropsychologist in the United States. Required steps include graduating from high school, obtaining a bachelor’s degree, obtaining a doctoral degree like a PhD, PsyD, or EdD, completing a postdoctoral fellowship, and licensure. Postdoctoral Fellowship

After you complete your Predoctoral Internship and graduate from your doctoral program, you will complete a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship (also known as a “residency”).  This is an advanced training experience during which you specialize in neuropsychology through intensive clinical, research, and other professional experiences.
